In-Tents Camp

Part of our experience in Year One of Forge was being sent off into the bush for three days all by ourselves with a tent, a sleeping bag and whatever we could fit into a plastic container, amongst other supplies. It was a phenomenal time of just being able to be away from the noise and busyness that can be Camp during the year. With little or nothing to do, we were forced to dig into our Bibles and spend intimate time with God; whether that being praying, reading or just sitting in silence with Him. For myself, I experienced a lot of time just walking to the nearby creek and back to my campsite, to give myself that little extra thing to do and to really enjoy the space that I had been dropped in. With how busy life can get, it was nice to just be able to unplug and hide away from the world with nothing to do but talk to God.
